- Whale watching on one of the half-day or full-day charters.
- Whale watching on a budget from the West Side, at Whale Watch Park. Be sure to take along some food and beverages.

- Stroll the driftwood-lined beach at American Camp Park, on the South Side of the island.
- Hike up Mt. Young from British Camp Park, on the North side of the island.
- Walk the public docks and enjoy the boats.
- Visit Sunken Park, and maybe hit the basketball court–it’s just right above the ferry landing.
- Tennis anyone? There are public courts located just behind the high school.
